Evelyn had her first solo exhibition in March and April 2016, in Cuenca, Ecuador, called “Visiones del Ecuador: Paisajes, animales y gente” (Visions of Ecuador: Landscapes, animals and people). She was the first North American accepted by a prestigious Ecuadorian gallery, Galería Larrazábal, where the owner was a renown Ecuadorean artist and the first director for the Museum of Modern Art. The show was a resounding success with 10 paintings sold on opening night, and 5 subsequent sales.
While Evelyn was in Ecuador, she participated in many group shows, including Galeria de la Alcadia (mayor's gallery), Museo Quinta de Bolivar, Miguel Illescas Art Gallery, CVA (Cuenca Visual Arts), and various local cafes.
